Logora Conquers the German Market: A Multicultural Success Story

From 2019 to 2022, Logora successfully collaborated with various media outlets in France, Belgium, and Switzerland. Now, in 2023, we have entered the German market, opening an exciting new chapter in our growth story.

Our successful partnership with Der Spiegel has not only reinforced our capabilities but also demonstrated our ability to adapt and execute valuable multilingual and multicultural collaborations. This demanding and dynamic market has pushed us to expand our expertise, strengthen our presence in Germany, and prove that we can manage multicultural partnerships seamlessly, efficiently, and innovatively.

Der Spiegel: Upgrading the Comment System

It all started with a clear goal: to improve Der Spiegel’s outdated comment system, which at its peak handled 1.7 million individual posts per month across hundreds of articles. However, only 5% of all users actively participated in discussions. The existing tool required a high level of manual effort and no longer met the quality and innovation standards expected by Der Spiegel and its readership.

An Innovative Collaboration: Der Spiegel Meets Logora

Seeking a modern and high-quality solution, Der Spiegel found Logora. Known for providing customized solutions for debates, consultations, and comment sections, we began our journey with a thorough needs analysis. In close collaboration with the Der Spiegel team, we defined their specific requirements, ensuring a perfectly tailored product. This process also included a face-to-face meeting at Der Spiegel’s headquarters in Hamburg in early 2023.

Through weekly collaboration, we developed key innovations, including:

  • Personalization of the debate section
  • Avatar and icon design for improved user interaction
  • Integration of Google’s Perspective API to filter content quality
  • Multilingual moderation and relevance scoring
  • Hiring German-speaking staff to better serve the audience

Subscriber Access & Custom Debate Features

A key challenge was the differentiation of access rights between subscribers and non-subscribers, ensuring a personalized user experience. We also introduced new functionalities, such as:

  • Scheduling start and end dates for debates
  • One-click moderation for easier content management

200,000 Registered Users in Just 3 MonthsThe results speak for themselves:

  • A tailor-made, highly moderated debate platform
  • High-quality discussions, supported by Google’s Perspective API
  • Personalized user experience, including avatars and icons
  • Over 200,000 registered users in just three months since launch in December

This remarkable success highlights the growing importance of online debates in Germany and has captured the attention of other major media organizations.Driving Innovation Through Continuous CollaborationRegular meetings between our teams ensure that this collaboration remains productive and continues to generate new, innovative ideas. We deeply value our partnership with Der Spiegel, whose insights have helped us fine-tune our platform for the German market. This extraordinary success story with Der Spiegel sets a new benchmark for Logora.

It proves our ability to deliver outstanding results, take on new challenges, and provide cutting-edge, customized solutions that meet specific market needs. With this achievement, we remain committed to further innovation, expanding our reach, and building new partnerships. We look forward to the future and are excited about the opportunities ahead.
